About
Being a pediatric oncologist for me is not only a job, it is a lifestyle. Here, every cancer cell has its own authority, and I want to discover and learn as much pathology and pathophysiology as cancer cells know. I have decided to become a pediatric oncologist due to my oncology professor, Dr. Tamamyan. Due to him, I have started to write abstracts, work on research papers. I became keen to learn more and more day by day. The second reason for my decision was the ESMO-ESO Courses on Medical Oncology for medical students, where I gained extensive experience and motivation, which helped me to realize that Pediatric Oncology is for me. After the course, I started to work as a volunteer at the Pediatric Oncology Department, where I gained valuable experience working in an academic reference environment. Currently, I am a fellow at the National Institute of Tumors in Milan, Italy. Also, I am studying at Harvard Medical School in the Effective Writing for Healthcare program. My research interests are in rare pediatric solid tumors, particularly soft tissue sarcomas.
